Le Puy en Velay

Le Puy en Velay or Via Podensis to St Jean Pied de Port is the most popular of the routes through France. It generally follows the GR65 and is very beautiful, green, hilly and wet. It is  736 km  from Le Puy to St Jean Pied de Port

  1. I'm not sure that I really found it like Galicia Kay. The first week of it is much tougher than Galicia, in terms of the Chemin being at a higher altitude, and also with many altitude changes. "To every descent there is an equal and opposite ascent" was a phrase that seemed to pop into my mind when I walked. I had to laugh a few weeks down the track when I met some French speakers with an equivalent phrase describing the route!
